How I approach my art practice
I love mark-making, brushstrokes, and most of all, bright pops of COLOR! I paint intuitively, allowing the brush to guide me, with inspiration from many types of music. The more I let go, the better the painting becomes. I’m always delighted when others tell me that my abstract art paintings make them happy—they make me happy too!

About Dana
I’ve been crafty all my life—from early embroidery on old bedsheets with my grandmother, to beading jewelry, sewing clothes, and drawing pictures for my imaginative stories. There was no craft I hadn’t tried at least once. And then adulting came along, and try as I might, there was little time left to craft with a demanding career and 2 young daughters. Luckily, I had chosen a career that allowed me to draw—both pictures and letters—as a graphic facilitator, but somehow once a craft turns into a job, it’s not as much fun.
